Jenny Harries (Dr) (Director of Public Health)
Dr Jenny Harries is the Joint Director of Public Health (DPH). The appointment has been made by NHS Norfolk and Norfolk County Council.
The Director of Public Health oversees the health of the population and has a key role in ensuring good information guides investment in health improvements schemes for local communities. The priority is to work across the boundaries of private, public and voluntary sectors to ensure that they are all working effectively on developments which always promote the healthiest options for the people of Norfolk.
Dr Harries has worked in hospitals and healthcare in the UK, in Kenya, India and New Zealand. Prior to taking up her current role she was Local Director of Public Health in Monmouthshire, Wales and Joint DPH in Swindon .
She is a current member of the UK Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.
